Tree Cutting in Riverwest

I’ve noticed an inordinate amount of what seems to me to be unnecessary tree cutting down in the last 6 months.

A home owner or the city or the private land holders (i.e. CMC) or the utility companies or churches may seem like they are “in the right” to cut down trees for whatever reason...but when some-one cuts down a tree for what I might consider a frivolous or a work-outable situation it hurts me deeply.

I am literally pained when I walk by stumps where a once grand, value-giving, shade providing, warmth retaining, aesthetically appealing tree once stood.
I wish that these tree cutters needed to get permission before cutting down trees from people who live near them or who experience them on a regular basis.
