What You Can Give to and Get from Peace Action
Hi,
I just picked up the recent issue of the Riverwest Currents and enjoyed what I’ve read so far. I volunteer at Peace Action and am really grateful you included them by mentioning T-shirts and gift memberships.
In this very fragile time of possible war, Peace Action is very much in need of financial support as well as volunteer help. You have made a request for input into the December issue. I wanted to let you know besides T-shirts, Peace Action carries a huge selection of buttons and bumper stickers with messages of peace, justice, environmental, human rights issues, vegetarianism and many other great issues and ideas. They also carry holiday cards and note-cards made by donated art from local artists.
They have over 50 styles of calendars and the popular Peace Calendar, along with a full line of International music from Putumayo and even peace dove sun catchers and cobalt blue mugs with peace cranes etched on them. So many gift ideas to help support a peace organization in their time of need.
For those who wish to give of time rather than “things,” why not offer a donation or gift membership or volunteer your time? Peace Action is grateful for any support and wishes the readers of the Riverwest Currents a holiday with hope for Peace, and offers each person a way to make that happen by becoming active.
