MILWAUKEE RECREATION ACTIVATES THE CITY
Fall Activity Guide now available
Milwaukee Recreation's Fall 2003 Activity Guide is now available and being
mailed to every city of Milwaukee household. The 64-page booklet contains
hundreds of fun and affordable activities for youth, teens, adults, and
seniors.
This fall, subscribers to Milwaukee Recreation's free electronic
newsletter, Recreational Reader, will have the opportunity to register for
classes on-line. To sign up for Recreational Reader and receive on-line
registration information, visit www.MilwaukeeRecreation.net.
"After a busy summer, we're still hard at work," says Mary Gissal,
Milwaukee Recreation's director. "The Fall Activity Guide contains
hundreds of great opportunities for everyone in Milwaukee to learn new
skills, improve health through physical activity, and spend time with
family and friends."
The Fall Activity Guide contains over 70 new classes, including Rocket
Science 101, Little Hooper's Basketball for Girls, Drumline, Introduction
to Graphic Arts, Fundamental Recording Techniques, Pet Grooming, Home
Buying, Arthritis Relief, and Curling.
Fall sign-up ends on September 5, but classes often fill much
sooner. Those who do not receive the Activity Guide by Wednesday, August
27 should call (414) 475-8180. You may also download a "searchable" copy
from www.MilwaukeeRecreation.net, or visit any Milwaukee Public Library to
obtain a copy.
Milwaukee Recreation is a non-profit department of Milwaukee Public
