Hail all Music lovers, Thai food lovers, Riverwest Currents
lovers....There's something for everyone at this weekend's
Riverwest Currents Showcase...

Come on out to Thai Joe's (2239 N. Prospect) this Saturday,
October 11, starting at 9 p.m. for great all-you-can-eat
Thai food (included in $8 cover) and two great music shows:

1. Matt Hendricks, up and coming blues/folk musician, will
open the show (see review posted this week at
http://onmilwaukee.com/music/articles/hendricks.html).

2. In Black 'N White, a veteran reggae/rock/r&B/soul band
with lots of great originals and covers headlines the show
with music that's great for listening and dancing. Last
year the Journal Sentinel had this to say about them:

"In Black 'N' White ... has won loads of WAMI's, premier
festival slots and other distinctions. Its ability to mix a
wide range of covers and originals has kept it plugged in
to current music trends and made it a favorite on the club
circuit and the summer festival scene."

Best of all, all proceeds after the musicians are paid will
support the Riverwest Currents! We have been growing
slowly but steadily, and our needs have outgrown the
original office equipment (the one, lone Macintosh computer
needs company!).

Please help us continue to provide Riverwest with great
news and features you expect from your neighborhood
newspaper - come out and have fun while supporting a great
cause this Saturday at Thai Joe's!
