Thanks For Nothing, Durkin!
Dear Mr. Durkin,
Thanks for the soothing review of “Rescue Me From TV” by Koala. It seemed as if you didn’t care for it very much but we appreciate your lack of spelling errors. With all of the positive feedback we’ve been getting from our throngs of groupies and Yes-men, it was really refreshing to get such an overwhelmingly negative reaction.
We feel bad that as a professional journalist you were forced to listen to the entire program. That’s 39 minutes and 59 seconds of your life that you can never get back. As artists we always do our best to create music that can be enjoyed by our listening public, and always welcome constructive criticism. Your relatively short piece from the Riverwest Currents did little to help us grow as musicians and songwriters. If you are interested in improving Milwaukee’s local music scene, we would love to get some specific imput [sic] from you regarding lyrics, arrangements, and more general ideas as to what we can do to stop sucking so much.
Sincerely,
Koala
