Article About Our Lady of Divine Providence Needed Fact Checking
Dear Editor:
In the article about the merger of St. Casimir’s and St. Mary’s the first error was concerning the patron of Puerto Rico. It should have been Our Lady of Divine Providence, not Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patron of Mexico. Next, it was not a mariachi band. Again this is Mexican music, not the band we had playing.
Just as a sideline, the description of the exterior of St. Casimir’s is really a bit of a low blow. The interior is just beautiful. I know that this article was done the day after the celebration but someone needs to check these simple facts before publishing.
I enjoy reading the Currents from cover to cover each month. This was the first time I caught errors.
Sincerely,
Mary Menting
