Goodbye from E’s Online Spot

E’s Online Spot (Bremen and Center) is closed for business as of July 1, 2004.
Throughout the month of June I spoke with people about the closing. I was touched by the genuine disappointment and concern for my welfare. The E’s Online Spot was a venture I entered alone. In the end, I discovered the Spot had grown into something beyond myself.

As the time arrived to renew my leases and contracts for business, I had to make decisions about both my, and the Spot’s, future. I soberly concluded I could not fulfill all my obligations and give the Spot the time and attention it deserves for another year.

I opened E’s Online Spot because I believed it could be an important resource for the Riverwest Community. The privilege of getting to know my customers and learning about their lives has proven my theory true.

The support and encouragement I have received throughout the Milwaukee Community made the decision to close difficult. I have no regrets about opening the Spot. If I had it all to do over, I would do it again. The experiences I gained from this venture cannot be quantified and I would not trade them for the world.
Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for your encouragement and support. And know that I do not see E’s Online Spot as a failed business but rather a successful experiment.
