Brady Street shoppers and revelers
will soon have a new place to go to
grab a bite.
The new Unique Pizza restaurant
will be opening soon. The site,
formerly Au Bon Appetit at 1016 E.
Brady St., has been renovated and
should be open sometime in March.
The restaurant, a Pennsylvania
franchise, will be operated by John
Budzinski and his daughter Grace.
The restaurant will offer pizza as
well as sub sandwiches, salads and
appetizers. They plan to stay open
late…
DigiCOPY, 1683 N. Van Buren
St., is now open. The copy center
has new equipment and is the first
DigiCOPY in the Milwaukee area.
The store donated 50 per cent of its
sales from its opening week, January
18 – 24 to the Midwest Athletes
Against Childhood Cancer. A nice
thing to do in its new location. The
northern half of the old Giovanni’s
building site is for lease…
Orlando’s Deli, at 1664 N. Van
Buren is going out of business. No
final day has been announced and
there are no plans for the building
yet which has been the home to
Orlando’s and before it, Aveni’s Deli,
and Busalacchi’s…
RSVP Productions presents
The Underpants, a sex farce by Carl
Sternheim, adapted by Steve Martin.
It continues weekends through March
3 at The Astor Theatre. On February
25-27, Pink Banana Theatre’s Spring
show “The Titanic” will hold auditions
from 7:30-9:30 pm. Actors of all
races, ages, genders and experience
are needed for 15 one-act plays. The
Astor Theatre has an excellent new
website. Information on the history
of the Theatre as well as stories on
film, film history etc. can be found
there. Information on upcoming
plays, ballet and dance classes as well
as audition information can be found

The Tamarack School will be
having informational meetings for
families interested in the school and
Waldorf Education the first week of
March. Pre-registration is required
for three different meeting times. For

tamarackwaldorf.org. “Hotsy-Totsy
Night,” a benefit for the school will
be held on Saturday, March 3 at The
Ardor Bar & Grill located at 607 N.
Broadway. Advance tickets are $25,
$30 at the door. The night will feature
cocktails, a dinner and dessert buffet
as well as a silent auction and raffle.
