Live Earth Walk for Water

The average distance women and children walk every day to secure water is almost 4 miles.

We will be hiking a little less than half that.

These walks are taking place in 192 countries on April 18, 2010. Water education activities will help increase awareness of the expanding water crisis facing our world.

For this special event, we ask you to walk and connect with the water and natural landscape in the heart of Milwaukee. You will learn about the challenges for our city, state, country and world related to water.

Check out what’s happening on this day at
liveearth.org for information on this global event.

Take a Hike Rain or Shine!
(unless severe weather threatens)
