Walking into Bronze Optical felt like walking into someone’s home. Cozy rooms were filled with strategically placed antique furniture. No florescent lights. Bronze immediately greeted me with a smile and asked if I cared to join him for a cup of tea.

Muy sabroso means very tasty in Spanish. Probably, the free tacos on Wednesday nights at Club 99 are muy sabroso ( I haven’t tried them, yet!), but so is the bar. It’s tasty, in the sense of many flavors. The jukebox serves up a choice of syncopated, highenergy, smoky-voiced Puerto Rican favorites as well as a wide assortment of familiar American artists.

fe Hollander is not easy to categorize. The atmosphere is modern yet has that cozy aged feel. It looks fancy yet has a casual quality to it. The menu is a mix of European, American and Asian influences.
